In this quirky mystery, Agatha Raisin finds herself in the middle of yet another murder investigation when her charming veterinarian is found murdered.

Copies of this book will be available to borrow at the Circulation Desk approximately one month before the discussion. Light refreshments will be available at the meeting.

With allusions to the movie Fargo, Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder stars a red-haired cook called Hannah Swensen and a very eccentric assortment of Minnesota locals whose lives are disturbed by a killer in their midst.

 

Computer Basics

This will be an opportunity for people completely unfamiliar with computers to get some basic hands-on training and begin to feel more comfortable with the technology.
Registration is required and space is limited.

How to Choose a Device

Tuesday, December 6
6:00 p.m.

This workshop will provide an overview of some main questions to consider and features to look for when thinking about buying an electronic device. Participants will be able to try out some of the library tablets. Registration is required and space is limited.

Mitten Tree

November 1 - December 13
Reed Memorial Library will host the Mitten Tree to collect donations of gloves, mittens, hats and scarves for all ages to be donated to Center of Hope, a local nonprofit organization that provides hot meals, food pantry service, warm clothing and other essential services for residents in need. If patrons would like to give a check as a gift they can make it out to “The Center of Hope.”

 

New “Fiction Addiction” Book Discussion

Reed Memorial Library is launching a new afternoon book discussion on the third Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. this fall. Adults are invited to attend an informal discussion of the book Mayhem at the Orient Express by Kylie Logan. In this classic cozy mystery novel, three squabbling ladies are ordered by a judge to attend a library book discussion group together. They are inspired to investigate the murder of the owner of the Orient Express restaurant after reading “Murder on the Orient Express” by Agatha Christie. Light snack will be provided, but participants should feel free to bring a bagged lunch or other snack. Copies of this title will be available to borrow about a month before the discussion and may be picked up at the library circulation desk.
