Tech Camp

July 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15
2-4pm

Participants at this free week-long camp will do hands-on tech projects including paper circuits, robotics, coding and more! Registration required. Grades 4-8.

Summer STAR

July 20, 27 and August 3
6:30 p.m.

Children in grades 2-4 are invited to Reed Memorial Library for the summer edition of our popular STAR (Stay and Read) program. The theme this year is “On Your Mark…Get Set…Read!” Attendees will enjoy fun stories, crafts, and games with sports and physical activity themes. Registration is required for this series.

Bootcamp for Kids

Tuesday, June 28
6:30 p.m.

An instructor from the Ravenna Athletic Center will teach participants how to exercise using their own body weight. Attendees should wear tennis shoes. No registration required. Grades K-5

Children's Summer Reading Kick-off Party

Wednesday, May 25
6:00 p.m.

On Your Mark, Get Set… READ! Start your Summer Reading Program with a bang! Games, music, bubbles and more will be included. No registration is required. All ages. Free bike helmets will be available (while supplies last) courtesy of the Portage County Health Department. University Hospitals, Portage Learning Center, Safe Communities, and Portage County WIC will all have representatives at this event.

 

Lego & Block Club

Tuesday, December 6
6:30 p.m.

Construct a LEGO creation. This club meets on the first Tuesday of every month. The library will provide the tools to build, participants will provide the imagination! No registration required. Grades K-5

Explorers

Enjoy self-guided experiments and play with other children and their caregivers.

No registration is required. Ages 2-5 years with caregivers.

Thursdays, May 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 9:30-10:00 a.m.

Wee Play

Parents and caregivers share quality time with their child.  Enjoy self-guided play and socialization.   

No registration required. Ages birth-23 months.

Tuesdays, May 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 9:30-10:00 a.m.

Crafternoon

Friday, April 22
4:30-5:30pm

Participants will learn about air pollution and upcycle some trash into treasure with an hour of eco-friendly crafts to celebrate Earth Day. Registration required. Grades 3-5.
