Build a Better Fantasy World

Join us for a special roleplaying and fantasy design workshop on Saturday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m.

This hands-on workshop will include creative activities about fantasy worldbuilding from the ground up. This program is open to anyone interested in fantasy writing, gaming, or curiosity.

Join us for board games, role playing games, and collectible card games.Teens and adults are welcome, and families with younger children should feel free to participate as well. No registration is required.

Stop by Reed Memorial Library on Tuesday, July 11 at 6:30 p.m. for the Drip E. Faucet Magic Show.

This fun-filled entertainment program will feature Drip E. Faucet, who is a magician, juggler, and plumber!

Adult Book Discussion

Wednesday, July 12
7-8pm

The Space Between Us by Thrity Umrigar.

This novel, set in modern-day India, looks at the special relationship between a wealthy Parsi housewife and her domestic servant. Through all of their differences, the two women share a number of similarities and a strong bond that defies the divisions of class and culture. Copies of the book will be available to borrow at the Circulation Desk one month before the discussion meets. Light refreshments will be provided.

 

Social Media

Thursday, July 13
10-11am

In this class, participants will learn about the purpose of various social media platforms, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. Basic mouse and keyboard skills are required for this class. Registration required.

Computer Basics II

On Thursday, July 13 at 2:00 p.m., our Guiding Ohio Online AmeriCorps member will present a class on the second part of the computer basics series.

This class will provide an expanded introduction into computers and participants will practice using icons, the task manager, and locating pre-installed software or games that comes standard with Microsoft Windows.
